Update January 21, 2008A PhoneWeaver addition to the Mono suite has been poster here:
http://forums.sbsh.n...showtopic=19805

Update January 2, 2007 - I have just upscaled the PocketBreeze skins, iLauncher meters, Clock skin and Category icons for VGA.
They are not reworked, just 200% of the QVGA version.
Screenshots are available thanks to ANETO:
PocketBreeze and iLauncher

Download the "vga" package here: Attached File  VGA_upscaled.zip (287.15K)
Number of downloads: 71
There will be no additional support on the VGA package since I don't have a VGA device and can't test it, so this is provided 'as is'. smile.gif
Many thanks to ANETO and BoB_55 for the screenshots and help on the iLauncher meters!
-------

Hi all smile.gif

I wanted a skin with white icons on a black background, and found that a simple skin like this was missing. So I created it myself!

After doing that, I figured that I could just as well turn it all around, and make the same skin in black. So I present to you the Mono skin, which is in fact a double skin since it is in two colors.

Number of downloads: 4 Attached File  Mono.png (2.56K)
Number of downloads: 0

Except for the pixels that are drawing the icons, the rest is transparent, so the icons don't have a background.
Therefore it is a light skin that also works good on Today themes with lots of detail, or potographs!

Some general comments
Use the Mono Black today theme with the Mono White PocketBreeze\iLauncher\Clock\Category icons, or the Mono White today theme with the Mono Black PocketBreeze\iLauncher\Clock\Category icons.

A lot of the icons are based on my Nayla skin. I'm not a graphics expert, and the icons I created for Nayla worked fine so for quite a few I just reworked them for this skin. As I said, I just wanted a clear white skin on a black background and didn't need fancy graphics or the black icons (but I included those black icons anyway wink.gif ).

iLauncher
This skin suite has top bar meters included in both colors (one set is visible in the above iLauncher screenshots, and the other in the "custom use" screenshot below).
To apply this, copy the four files to \Program Files\SBSH\iLauncher\images, replacing the excisting files.
Make sure you backup the original, excisting files if you want to return to the original red-to-green meter later on!
To apply the new meter, you might need to disable iLauncher and enable it again, or soft reset.

Also included are 2 sets of meters for 16x16 and 32x32 (Thanks Trewblue for your comments!), and a Tab icon.

Category icons
These are nothing special, but I created them for myself so I thought I might as well include them smile.gif .

Today themes
Included are the 3 Today themes you see on the PocketBreeze preview.

Regarding the Mono Black Solid theme, note that it places info in your registry to skin the top and bottom bar, and this info is saved even if you delete the Today theme. To delete this info, go to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\ and delete the Mono Black Solid.tsk folder. Only tweak the registry if you're confident about it, since you might mess up your device if you make mistakes in your registry.

For a little preview on how this can look on a custom Today theme (so this one is not included, and since it was in a commercial suite I cannot provide it!):

That's it, enjoy!

Absolutely love the way the simple graphics show on the image backdrop at the bottom of the first post (the others look great too but that one is just brilliant!)! I never thought about it before but it's clear that if you want a beautiful and detailled backdrop, Stefans skin shows the way one should do it (i.e. keep the other things as simple as posible)! clap1.gif

Great work!!

Thanks JudgeDredd! Awesome to hear this from you. I liked your idea for WAD skinning (the realistic desktop), but I only didn't use WAD b2.jpg wink.gif

@ Mike - Thanks for your comment and for moving the thread! smile.gif

Sorry I didn't think of moving the thread from the Beta forum. Things have bee a little hectic to say the least.

I understand, of course. Christmas and the beta release, that's double hectic. And then there is of course more in life then just those two. smile.gif

Thanks!
Hehe if I'd have a VGA device I would have created the VGA skin in the first place, and then reworked it for QVGA... Unfortunately I only have a QVGA device sad.gif. So that makes it pretty impossible for me to make it in VGA resolution. Sorry! b2.jpg

While I'm usually against this solution, due to the simple nature of the skin, I think it would not look bad if you would just scale it up to VGA (at least it is worth a try).

Okay anyone can download the following package. It contains the black icons for PocketBreeze. I just made them 200 % of the original, and that\'s all I\'ll do about it. smile.gif
There simply isn\'t a lot of fun in tweaking images if I don\'t have a device to test (and use) them on, which means I have to guess if they will look decent.

If you download it, please put it on a light today theme and post a screenshot if you want. smile.gif

If they look good, everyone is free to scale them up. PM me and we can discuss if we should include them in the start post or open a new topic for them. I\'d like to keep the downloads organized and not spread through a topic. cool.gif
(If they don\'t look good, you can scale them up too but there\'s not much fun in using and displaying them wink.gif )
