OSX Rev2 | Tabbed edition | QVGA Support for WM5 QVGA and Square Screens now added!

Hi Everyone,

Please read this entire first post to locate downloads for wm5 and square screens please.

Here is the qvga version of the amazing work by Mickesjo. Please see his original thread on the VGA version here.
http://www.sbsh.net/...showtopic=13812

I suggest that qvga users not use the shadow fonts. It makes it look a bit blurry.

This package includes:
  • Pocket Breeze files
  • Wisbar Advance Desktop Files (WAD)
To use the WAD Files, you need Wisbar Advance and Wisbar Advance Desktop located at www.lakeridgesoftware.com. If you do not use those two items, Spmwinkel has kindly created a today theme for those who do not own those two products. See a few posts down-

Enjoy and always many thanks to Mickesjo for compiling this beautiful work! clap1.gif

This is my first resize using Corel Paintshop Pro so let me know if anything looks funky pixelwise. I haven't had a great deal of time to look this over so I will count on all of you to help me out if something didn't turn out right. I won't be offended. wink.gif

UPDATE 12/31/06

New Wallpaper added to the Zip file to correct the pixel displacement that caused Ilauncher tab borders to misalign with backdrop indentations. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BACKDROP IS NOW LOCATED IN THE WAD FOLDER. I REMOVED THE ORIGINAL PSD FILE FOR THE BACKDROP. THE PSD FILE FOR THE TAB IS STILL PRESENT.

UPDATE 1/2/07

Added Custom1 icon. Added additional psd files resized for qvga.

UPDATE 1/3/07

Many thanks hezahonker! clap1.gif biggrin.gif
I just tried your convertion (without WAD), and I have two comments.

1 - Could you please check the custom1 baricon? For me it is just an apple. It's not in a tab, and also the sel and nsel seem to bee the same. unsure.gif (Also see the preview of the .tsk I made, in the post below)

2 - Could you please just open your preview screenshot in Paint, and zoom in? You will see that the most right iLauncher tab should be moved to fit with the tab seperator line. Maybe just a pixel, but it should be moved. smile.gif

I also tried to make a Today theme from the backdrop. It does work for iLauncher, but of course without WAD the next Today plugin comes right after. So here I find out it's not really possible to create this exact setup without WAD b2.jpg.
However, I'll create a Today theme to fit with the way I mostly like my setups most: the whole page dedicated to PocketBreeze.
In the original topic Mickesjo said to post any tweaking online, so I'll do that as soon as it's finished.

btw, I can't seem to open OSX_rev2_TAB_backdrop.psd in my Paint Shop Pro 7 unsure.gif
I can do the Today theme with the .png file in the WAD folder, so it's okay. But it's still weird since I can open the other .psd file just fine.

Ok so here is the .tsk I made for if you don't use WAD and have PocketBreeze to cover the whole page.
There are some pixels in the bottom outside of the bubble, bit there doesn't fit another tab there anyway. So I thought to keep a couple of pixels 'green' to emphasize that it's a milk-colored bubble on top of a background.

The download contains one Today theme and the used .jpg file. smile.gif

Hi Stefan,

yes, the custom1 icon is an apple that doesn't change. I just take the files and resize I don't change the files in anyway so that would reflect what Mickesjo has in the file.

Yes, I do know about that already. I chose to not change it at this point and will probably update it as soon as I get the time after the Holiday. smile.gif

Thanks for working on the today theme for those without wad. I am sure that will be appreciated.

Regarding the psd backdrop, I am not sure why it is doing that especially if you can open the other one and they were both sized the same way. I am stumped. I would suggest downloading the VGA version and resizing them on your machine to resolve the issue.

Hi Hezahonker smile.gif

Michael indeed said this was also in the VGA version and he said to work on it shortly. smile.gif

Hehe I should have assumed you had already seen the pixel in the iLauncher tabs. So much great convertions already, no way that this would have escaped your trained eyes. cool.gif

At the moment the .png WAD image image worked fine for me, but in case I need the .psd I'll be sure to pick up the original VGA version. smile.gif

Hi Stefan,

smile.gif Yeah, I just saw that. That is really good news. smile.gif

Regarding Ilauncher, I think the tab to the left of the last is off too-- by a very small amount. At least it appears to my naked eye this way. It may not be. I have to blow it up and examine it though. I just got too busy as we got invited to friends house last night and now my 16 year old has the flu that started at 2am this morning cry2.gif I will try to get to it eventually. Let's hope my other kids don't start getting sick. blink.gif

OK yes, I think you will be fine with the png too. Your tsk looks great. good work! clap1.gif

I'm sorry to hear about your son, I hope he feels well soon! It's fun to spend New Years Eve with friends, but if a member of your family doesn't feel good, that keeps you worrying all night.
Not much sleep last and coming night then... b2.jpg

I blew up the image a little, saves you 30 seconds if it's big enough. wink.gif.

I'd say: middle tab one pixel wider, 4th tab also one pixel wider (plus the pixel from the 3th tab, should make it two pixels). But then again. I didn't check how that would work out. smile.gif

OK Stefan my husband is giving me some time to fix this by helping me so I got it done for you. Take a look and re-download at the first post. I placed the backdrop in the WAD file. You should be able to create an updated TSK from that now.

I just zoomed in 8x with Paint and it's perfect now. smile.gif smile.gif
No need for me to redownload though, since my .tsk only contains a PocketBreeze bubble, and no iLauncher field. wink.gif
Thanks!

Oh duh! doh.gif I completely forgot that you aren't using Ilaucher. How stupid of me. Oh well...everyone else can redownload!!! laugh.gif

Thanks, I actually selected the pixels and moved them over accordingly using Mickesjo's orginal Photoshop VGA image. It was nice and big ...I just eyeballed it and moved the selection over about what I thought it looked like on my screen so I lucked out there. Thanks for your observations! Happy New Year! biggrin.gif

Hehe to be precise I do use iLauncher (who can honestly do without?) , but just inside PocketBreeze! :lol

On a regular today screen it's not possible to get that space between iLauncher and PocketBreeze (at least, not without additional software that puts an empty today plugin inbetween them). So having both iL and PB bubbles with the same (resized) gap between them just doesn't work. It looked funny, though! Too bad I already deleted that test .tsk so I can't show it anymore tongue.gif
Happy new year to you too! biggrin.gif

As you can see on attached, the shell tray seems just a little off. Is there a way I can fix this?
