I began 2007 by making a new skin suite smile.gif Following the "OSX Rev2 tabbed version" skin I wanted something that would bring an (for me) unusually colorful setup. To fully enjoy this skin and all its possibilities you will need PocketBreeze, iLauncher, WisbarAdvance2 and WisbarAdvanceDesktop. Although you might still be happy using only some bits and pieces. I will not make any additions to this theme as I'm moving on towards the next project. If you find something that's "buggy" - please let me know and I'm sure I'll be able to fix it.

Since this skin is very much inspired by Windows Vista I have borrowed some circulating graphical elements to finalize this skin. Thus I cannot take full credit for making this skin although much work has gone into it. That said - most of the elements you see in this skin are original artwork by me so if you should ever post anything elsewhere - due credit should be given smile.gif

Have fun!

WisbarAdvanceDesktop | In this downloadable file you'll find the font face (Calibri) together with two other folders - one containing the image files needed to build the Desktop theme and on containing the WAD theme files as they look on my PDA. If you wish to use these theme files you may need to do some editing in order to get the them working (change file paths etc). However, this WAD theme is fairly simple to build from scratch. iLauncher is set on top (0 pixels) (iL settings allows scrolling, the portrait height is set to 132, black separator lines and 5 tabs. In short - any deviations from this exact setup will need editing of the WAD backdrop to look good) and PB is set on 212 pixels from the top (PB settings uses a portrait height of 320 pixels. The default setup allows a maximum of 7 PB tabs. Any deviations from this exact setup will need editing of the WAD backdrop to look good).

PocketBreeze | In this file you'll find the font (Calibri) and two skin folders - one for the TAB version of this skin (using the special WAD backdrops) and one "regular" icon-style PB skin.

Attached File  Whatsta_release_large_WA2.png (891.54K)
Number of downloads: 384

WisbarAdvance2 | In this file you'll find the font (Calibri) and the WA2 skin folder. The only thing you need to do to adapt to this theme is to make sure the "close" button is the item to the far right. Other than that these images can be included/placed anywhere to suite your personal preferences. There are several items "missing" in this skin. No phone support is built in. Also, due to the fact that I only make top bar items in TGA file format (which is necessary to blend with the top bar background since the background isn't linear) I haven't made any meters for signal strength or battery/memory. I won't make these additions but all additions by other artists are welcome as always smile.gif

Attached File  Whatsta_release_large_Extras.png (1.3MB)
Number of downloads: 271

Extras | In this file you'll find several things (as can be seen in the image above). All items install naturally in each software directory but there are of course some differences: iLauncher tab images - install anywhere on your PDA, then select from iLauncher Options. Resco Keyboard Pro Default.png - overwrite any previously installed keyboard image (e.g. the default skin) but you may benefit from backing the old one up first. Resco Sudoku - copy the skin folder and paste it in the same location as the other skins found in the software installation location. Today Theme - install to MyDocuments and then select it from the regular Today settings. psShutXP - copy the two image files to \program files\psShutXP\ (note for poeple who wish to edit the images: these files are jpg files with .gif file extension). Calibri font - install to \Windows\Fonts\ (the font is included in most individual Whatsta packages bu of course you only need to install it once).

Resources | In this file you will find two Photoshop CS2 files - one for the WAD wall paper and one for the PB tabs (TAB version). I simply wanted it to be easy to make new wallpapers and additional PB custom tabs smile.gif Per definition I will not make additional resource files available. If you make additions to this skin I would be very happy if you could post such images in this thread so that other users can enjoy them too smile.gif

That's it and that's that smile.gif

A small but important addition from Corleno (thanks alot!): WA2 battery/memory/signal etc meters for the task bar can be found right here >> Remember to also use the supplied skin file in the zip once it's downloaded to your computer smile.gif

Great original work Mickesjo! The dark theme looks good with this backdrop color!

The part that says 01/18-01/26 with the PB logo - is that PB logo part of the skin or the backdrop, is a transparent box so that the backdrop's color shines through, or is the color "fixed" so that for example it will look weird on a blue theme?
(I hope it's the second possibility I mentioned, so this logo is part of the skin but part of the background shines through smile.gif)

Again: clap1.gif!!

Thanks smile.gif

The PB item you are referring to is within the PB skin and not the backdrop smile.gif It is transparent too, so if you render it directly on a colorful backdrop, the artwork will shine trough smile.gif This time I will include a "tabbed" PB version and one with "regular" icon-style tabs smile.gif

Even better than I was hoping for!
The community will love this skin, I'm pretty confident about that! smile.gif

WOW! That is gorgeous! clap1.gif

Your making me have to re-install WA2 and WAD to get ready to install the QVGA version once someone makes it. Might even so impatient as to give it a shot myself. smile.gif

Michael--Just when I think there are no more good skinning ideas, you come up with yet another winner. And, because you're a classy guy, you make your skins extremely useful and gorgeous. I love this so much, I might even overlook my own prejudice against very colorful skins. Thanks for all the work.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to tell you that I love the Whatsta logo. Pure genius.

Never buy programs from www.iphonethemeforpocketpc. com or www.web-resort.com as they steal freeware programs and sell them as their own. These programs belong to A_C and are freeware and can be downloaded from XDA-Developers.com for free.

They also take icons without asking. The meters are from Dingo Designs.

Thanks smile.gif I too have some problems with colorful skins. This is in fact one of the reasons I made this skin the way I made it. Several times I found myself cutting back the colors to "make it all fit" - I had to force myself to add yet another color just to see what the end result would be. Now that I'm done I'm extremely happy I managed to conquer my desire to keep skins two-colors-only smile.gif

The logo is in fact simply a shareware font from DaFont.com called Marcelle (by StereoType) smile.gif I wish I could say that it's my own creation but who am I kidding smile.gif

Thanks Buzzard! smile.gif

Fantastic wall paper also! Works great with the transparency! Love that it works well with all your IL tabs too smile.gif I'm flattered by the work you have put into it only hours after "release"!
