Activesync (on device) no longer works when PW installed Was working before I hard reset...

PW was working well for me for a long time, but recently, after a hard reset, I've noticed that when PW is installed and enabled, I can't Activesync. Basically, the status bar in the Activesync window on my Spring PPC 6700 appears, but it never actually reaches the "Synchronizing" stage, where the status bar is active and the AS icon is animated. I've been able to successfully Activesync to my desktop a few times, but it just seems to hang when trying to sync with my Exchange server.
Any ideas what's going on? Maybe this has happened before?

This was very annoying as I need to sync calendar and notes more than I need weather, after reading this forum and the other message I un-installed PW and now I can sync again, I'll not install again until I see a fix for this problem

I have the same problem like you have DJ Morgan, I need AS more than I need PW... I hope that they find a patch for this problem.
@ shorty/y its not kinda looking like interference... it IS an interference between the last version of PW with AS. Its strange that PW version 1.3.5 was working perfect with AS before I upgraded. So maybe some of the technicians can check and see what they added or changed in the last version compared to the previous one and maybe they will find the solution to the problem
Its just some food for thought.....

cannot sync anymore to Outlook and PW wil not update
(this through Wifi and connectec to comp.)
this is my conf.
active sync v4.2 qtek vario and PW 1.35
cannot sync anymore (I normally sync to two computers, both have the same problem)
Updated PW to version 1.36
no sync (contacts and calendar) and PW will not update
Update to AS v4.5
still no update and sync
removed PW, now I can sync again to outlook
ps. PW was installed on Memory SD card.

FWIW, I downgraded to 1.3.5 -- still experienced the problem -- then downgraded to 1.3.4 and, again, experienced the problem. Maybe some components were still uplevel, I don't know, but those are my experiences.

It is not a problem specific to your upgrade from 1.3.5 to 1.3.6
I run several other versions including a beta for months without problems until this recent explosion.
SBSH is now aware.
When you downgrade to 1.3.5 -- let me know if it works.

I downgraded to version 1.3.5 but it didn't help. I think some components stay as residue on the PPC once you upgraded or whatever.
Ok, its just something I've been breaking mind on, could it be that Microsoft published an automatic update last weekend that has caused these problems? They are known for doing this and if your PC is set to automatically update and install, it would install without us even knowing.
I just find it strange that PW was operating smoothly with AS until last weekend. And the thing that baffles me the most is, no one seems to know what the heck happened.... this is weird to say the least....
I got to give you credit Ron for looking into this matter, and sorry if I came on to hard at first, it was just my emotions and frustrations

Based on all the recent posts showing that the update problem for the past few weeks is NOW resolved, and based on all your previous posts that did suggest some reasons for at least some of your problems (viz. EQ won't show data if PW is not updtaing, ImageIcons won't display if the Images have 'expired', etc), I do not believe that MS is to blame at all (first time I can say this).
If you remove all components of 1.3.5 (will not work because weather servers outside SBSH/PW changed) including PW files in all memory directories, and remove any PW registry keys, and re-install a fresh version of 1.3.6, I believe you will be OK.
At that point, let me know if you are having any issues.

I uninstalled PW and reinstalled. Right now ActiveSync seems to be working fine. I unplugged and plugged the device couple of times and everytime it synched. I will check how it behaves after restarting the machine.
