Good morning all! clap1.gif

It has been a while since we've had some new activity on the HandyList forum and we've been really busy working on a new update for the past several months now. I'm excited to introduce to you all today the all new MyList 2.0 that will follow the new MyList brand name with this new version release!

MyList is part of some of the new applications that we've been working on for a long time now and I really hope that all of our users will enjoy using it and find it useful for your everyday life organization activities!

Before I will get started with the introduction description about the new MyList version release I would like to take a moment and introduce Ben, who is the new MyList development manager and managed the entire development process of the new MyList release. Ben will also stay active and tuned in here on the forums from this point onwards to listen to all of the users input and requests and making sure to continue and develop MyList future updates, similar to the way we are working with our additional applications.

What is MyList 2.0 all about?

MyList is a powerful list manager application designed with a user-friendly interface that will bring order to your life! Create lists for your daily activities such as: grocery list, To-Do's, collections, frequent flights packaging, project development and more! MyList also comes with a user-friendly interface allowing you to review or modify your lists at any time!

1. Lists Manager

Using MyList you can easily organize your lists in categories, import and export them to a common file format for PC use, customize font sizes, face and color and much more! MyList main view introduces a tree style display including all of your available MyList list files that are located within a specific folder on your device.

Each list can also have its own custom icon from your MyList icons store, which is then presented on the MyList main lists tree, which helps to easily identify your lists and organize them by topics/categories.

MyList stores each list as individual files on your device to allow users to easily move specific lists to different places/folders on your device, easily share individual lists with different users etc.

2. List View

MyList List View display is where you get to actually use your lists, add new items, remove items, edit existing items and similar. On the MyList List view display you can manage a single list each time and view the entire list content, move through your list items using the D-Pad/Stylus, check items state and so on...

At the top of the MyList List view display you will find the currently active list icon, name and a counter including the number of existing items in the current list and the number of checked items in the list, in case that list includes a check-box field on the first list column smile.gif

3. Templates Manager

All of the lists created with MyList are generated based on a list-template definition. MyList Templates includes all of the structural information needed to generate a new list. MyList Templates includes information about the list fields, each field type and default value and default list icon.

Using the MyList Templates editor you can edit the default templates that are shipped with MyList, create your own templates and remove templates that are you have no use for.

Removing templates from your Templates Manager that were used to generate some of your lists in the past won't effect your lists since MyList is using Templates only for the creation process of a new list and they are not linked with actual MyList List files cool.gif

4. Additional Features

The new MyList 2.0 supports Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5 and 6 operating systems. It comes with full support for both QVGA and VGA devices and supports all different screen orientations: portrait, landscape and square.

MyList comes with a sample icon store of list icons that you can use for your lists and adding new icons to your icon store is as simple as copying any additional new list icons to the selected icon store folder.

Registering MyList 2.0

MyList costs $14.95 and can be registered using our online store on our site powered by Handango at the following URL:
http://minibrand.han...://www.sbsh.net

A list of additional distribution channels offering MyList can be found at our site at the following URL:
http://www.sbsh.net/...p?page=purchase

Upgrade details for registered HandyList users

Upgrading to the new MyList 2.0 is free for all current HandyList registered users.

According to our upgrades policy, major upgrades from one major version to the other usually requires a special upgrade price of 50% of the original product price. However, we decided that we were not satisfied with the development of HandyList 1.X and therefore decided that upgrading to the new version of MyList will be a free upgrade for all current HandyList registered users. We hope that this will improve the currently registered HandyList users, user experience.

All current registered HandyList users will be receiving an email including the registration details for the new MyList version within the next 72 hours. The new MyList includes a 12 day trial version so the free upgrade registration email should arrive long before your trial will expire.

Future Plans and Final Thoughts

It has been a long time since we've released a new update for SBSH HandyList, which is one of the very first applications that were released by SBSH a very long time ago and we are very excited to finally introduce the new HandyList successor, MyList! smile.gif

We've had lots of users emailing our support team and others posting on our forums in the past asking when a new HandyList version will be available and we are really happy to finally deliver a new and much improved solution for all of our users that have been waiting for this new release. Additionally, the move of this new project to Ben as the new project manager will also bring a complete new push for the project development in the future from now on and will align MyList along with all of our other SBSH application standards to deliver active development and communication with our users etc.

A special big thank you to all of our beta group team members that helped us a lot with the development of the new MyList from the first beta version release almost two months ago and until we reached this new final version 2.0 release. A second big thank you goes to the team at JuniSkins (this will be Juni and Kim) that helped us with the new MyList graphic design side and Mickesjo for taking over the new MyList logo design, both looks really awesome!

We already have a great list of things that we are planning to accomplish with MyList in the very near future that were still not included with this first version, some were delayed on purpose until we will be finished with some internal work on a few additional things, while others are based on ideas that were raised by the beta group team only in final stages of the development and therefore we decided that we will be working on those things only with future upcoming updates smile.gif

Although our MyList ToDo's and plans for upcoming updates is already pretty long, we are looking forward for as much input as possible from our users and myself, Ben and the moderation team are all tuned on the new MyList forum to check out all of the new suggestions, feature requests, any possible bug reports and move ahead towards new updates that will help us create together the best possible listing solution that will help all users to organize their life in the easiest way possible!

Indeed it took us somewhat longer than initially planned to complete the new MyList release, but development should be much faster from this point on now that the new MyList was released smile.gif

Amit

I think your offer of a free upgrade to existing Handylist registered owners is both generous and honourable and I am sure I am voicing the belief of many that this yet against demonstrates what an excellent company you run.

I'll raise a beer to you later on.

Many thanks

Hi Fruchtzwerg smile.gif

Definitely Yes! clap1.gif and if everything will go according to plan it shouldn't be too far until you will be able to use MyList on your Smartphone device too smile.gif
