Hi all! wave.gif

I'm pleased to announce the release of my first skin for the today-plugin of PocketWeather 2:

fabian deluxe 2.0 clap1.gif

Attached File  Main.jpg (336.87K)
Number of downloads: 222

This skin offers a nice combination of functionality, viewability and a quite unique style in one remarkable creation smile.gif
The background of the data-area is presented in an area of light shadow to gather the information in a nicely displayed and also very readable way rolleyes.gif
The first screen displays a short overview of the current conditions of the selected location (including location-name, date, time, current temperature, current conditions icon and current moonphase), today's forecast plus the forecast for the upcoming five days.

Some areas of the screen deserve special attention:

Attached File  Touch.jpg (34.4K)
Number of downloads: 113

Tapping one of the two large icons in the upper part of the layout will open the subviews which are also part of this layout.
Tapping on the left icon (current conditions) opens a more detailed view of the current conditions.
Tapping the right icon (current moonphase) opens a more detailed view of moonphases plus details about the most recent earthquake.

Attached File  Conditions.jpg (33.5K)
Number of downloads: 70 Attached File  Moon.jpg (33.25K)
Number of downloads: 45

Tapping the large icons again will bring you back to default view. Of course it is also possible to switch from one subview to the other by tapping the large icons. smile.gif
The small arrows at the bottom of the data area offer an easy way to switch between all configured locations.
Of course you can use your D-Pad to navigate through the whole layout, too!
You may as well use this layout as a userdefined tab inside the weather-console, tapping the icons and arrows will work inside the console as well as in the today-plugin.

Attached File  WC.gif (79.8K)
Number of downloads: 52

Systemrequirements:

The skin needs at least 215 x 220 pixels space on your screen. So it is defined for the usage in PocketBreeze or the Weatherconsole. It can be used with vertical and horizontal tabs also and was originally written for QVGA, but will work on VGA as well!
The layout will look best when used with icons of normal size (32 x 32 or 64 x 64) and large icons (48 x 48 or 96 x 96).
To get best results you should deactivate the display of the settings-button, maps and last updatetime inside PW's settings program or popup menu.

To install the skin all you need to do is downloading the ZIP-file, extract it and copy the folder to PW\skins\ ! After that the skin can be chosen by the today´s popup menu.

Download fabian deluxe 2.0 here: Attached File  fabian_deluxe_2.0.zip (4.17K)
Number of downloads: 358

Known bugs and issues:

- currently no VGA arrows available sad.gif
- local time does not update automatically

Special thanks for translation and testing to:

Never buy programs from www.iphonethemeforpocketpc. com or www.web-resort.com as they steal freeware programs and sell them as their own. These programs belong to A_C and are freeware and can be downloaded from XDA-Developers.com for free.

They also take icons without asking. The meters are from Dingo Designs.

No. The time in PW (to the right of Tel Aviv) and on the StartBar don't match.

First, thanks for the great skin. clap1.gif I need to shrink things down a bit to fit the real estate on my Today screen. I would also like to have the % chance of precipitation show on the main screen. I am using #RAIN#% #30004# to do this, but as you can see I am just getting % precipitation. What do I need to do to get the digit? unsure.gif

This is a common problem:
chance of precipitation is actually a Forecast item and not a Current parameter, so your #RAIN# statement must be in the proper place in the script to have it collect the value and display it. You can describe the display coordinates anywhere (X,Y), but the order of the statements in the script (unless you use some advanced tricks) is critical.

The manual is a little misleading as the example displayed is not correct. We'll (Adrian) need to correct this.
