Good day to all Posted Image

It's been about a week since the last version of Papyrus was released. In this short period of time we worked very hard to implement and fix many of the issues that plagued version 1.4.01 and here we are today announcing a new Papyrus version update, Papyrus version 1.4.02 Posted Image

Without further ado, here are the installation files for the new version:

Download links for Papyrus for Symbian version 1.4.02
(if you're not sure which file you should download for your phone I recommend to check out this site or Googling your phone and looking at the OS version)

What's new in Papyrus for S60 1.4.02

This version is mainly a fix release, and is part of our return to small-rapid releases.
There are quite a few fixes since 1.4.01 last week and I urge you to review the development log.

Development log for Papyrus for S60 1.4.02

* Fixed OS 8 and lower versions not starting.
* Added Fullscreen support back to 3rd edition devices.
* Fixed "losing focus" crash.
* Returned the New/Edit Item form icons and removed text because it was too short.
* Changing an alarm to off will now update the screen when editing an item which had a reminder.
* Auto-removing "No Category" (when adding another category) now works for Tasks too.
* Fixed various crashing issues on the Tasks view.
* Fixed crash when creating tasks in the Tasks view using the "*".
* Fixed Grid view not returning to FullScreen after creating a new item.
* Removed list items numbering in the Settings dialogs to allow for more text to show on the screen.
* Fixed crash when pressing "Enter" when creating/editing a Reminder.
* Added progress bar to the icon selector for a category.
* Changed right softkey on the New/Edit Item form to "Done" instead of "Cancel"
* It is now possible to edit a category color (as opposed to remove+set icon).
* Fixed large timeline to show appointments that end at 11 PM correctly.
* Fixed Monthly view Fullscreen on the E90.
* Added option to select a phone number of a contact when adding a contact to an item's subject/location.
* Papyrus now "hides" when clicking the red "Cancel" button as opposed to exiting (which can be done through the menu).
* Fixed pasting not refreshing the Daily view when using CNTRL+V/Menu-Paste to paste an item.
* Fixed arrows not showing up on the Grid view for Landscape screened phones (E61, E90 etc).
* Fixed crash when editing items with the "middle joystick" button as opposed to pressing the left "Edit" button.
* Fixed not being able to set Completion status for a task through the "New/Edit Item" form.
* No Category is removed when setting a different category for an item.

Papyrus for S60 Survey #2
I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody for participating in our first survey Posted Image
I uploaded a new survey so if you have one to spare, drop by this link and fill it out Posted Image

Papyrus for S60 Localization
I've updated the localization files which you can find here:
http://forums.sbsh.n...showtopic=13822

If you can please help us to translate anything that is wrongly translated or lacking in your language, please download and update the correct file from the link.
Then send it to roy@sbsh.net and I will be sure to add it in for the next release Posted Image (thanks!)

Plans for the near future
During the next couple of weeks I will focus on improving speed with Papyrus' loading times and item editing/creation.
This should also solve overdue tasks from long ago not showing up on the Today screen and should make Papyrus run much faster.

In addition, I will change the current scrollbar in Papyrus to a native S60 one which looks much better Posted Image

----------------------------------------------

I want to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful beta team who cranked out this beta to find bugs Posted Image

I hope you will enjoy the new version and the new additions Posted Image Please be sure to post back with any feature requests, bug reports and future ideas that you would like to see implemented with upcoming updates of Papyrus.

Thank you for the new release of Papyrus.

Just a few notes:

1. When adding a contact to an appointment or a task it would be very nice to display the name of the contact instead of the phonenumber.
2. Papyrus still crashes when trying to delete a task in the daily view.

Hi German,
Thanks for the update.

I will look into the crash.

Regarding the Contact Insertion - I will look into this as well.

Hi Roy,

thank you very much for this fast coming release.

I like very much the possibility to choose the "full screen" for each separate view.

Thank you for fixing when adding a contact to an appointment or a task to add the phone number, but it would be nice to have the contact name displyed as well (as it was possible in previuos versions).

Ciao
Giorgio

Hi Roy

Well done on the updated program but you have forgot to change the grid view as per a previous post.
Please find a screenshot as a reminder.

Keep up the good work

Jim

Hi Roy,

It's good to see the new version of Papyrus is now available. I haven't had a chance to check it in detail yet but I did notice three things which I thought would be resolved with this release:

1. There is still no option to select the current theme as the background, except for Daily View
2. When in Daily View, if a task is deleted, the entire screen goes blank. In order to view, you either need to cycle through the views or press the down arrow, then the up arrow to return to the previous position.
3. On the Nokia E90 (inside screen), full screen mode with the Daily View does not display properly.

In addition, I noticed that the current taks displayed on the Daily View are in black whereas they were previously white. Despite checking all the setting in Colour Options, it doesn't seem possible to change this!

Regards
