Hi all,
new user here, just bought Touch Calendar. Great application, indeed.

Now I have a question: my device is an HTC Touch Diamond 2. Maybe I'm wrong, but I was expecting a tighter integration with the device interface and the calendar...for example if I touch an appointment in the manila homescreen the device opens the regular calendar not yours. Same goes for the Calendar Tab, if i click on an appointment I see the windows calendar....is this right? If this is ok, then can I suggest a better integration for the future releases? Bye!

fabio.

I presume HTC Touch Flo opens the default calendar program. Make sure you've set Calendar touch as the default calendar program ;)

HTC hard coded the Calendar in, so even if you change the default calendar this will not work. If you go over to the XDA developers website they have created a hack to get this to work.

I have a Palm Treo 700wx and I had the same problem when I first downloaded CT. I just lived with it until one day I did a soft reset and suddenly, everytime I accessed my calendar it went into CT.

But you do have to make sure that when you load it you click the box listed as "REPLACE PIM".
Its an option that show up when you start the loading.

I hope this helps.

Here is what I did. Copy the sbshcalendar.exe to someplace else, Rename to calender.exe and copy to windows. over writting the one that is there.

Arg...TouchFlo is really great it is so bad not to have the possibility to add today plugins, or just like this hardcode the calendar application. Will check if it is simply not a registry key, who knows ! ;)

Hi all,
thanks for the replies.

I won't overwrite the calendar.exe in windows, it seems, at least to me, too drastic.

I was searching the registry yesterday for a possible solution but heaven't found nothing so far.

The solutions over at Xda (smaa and smmao or something similar) didn't worked.

Keep you posted If i find a solution.

Bye, fabio.

Search for SecondToday at XDA. I am using it on Touch HD and it works great.

Only thing if you install it, REMOVE "Auto-Height" from PB and set to fixed.

You might also try using a program called VJBrisk. It worked for me on my HTC Vogue. I have not tried it yet on my Touch Pro yet.

I used VJBrisk on my Touch HD with TouchFlo 3D (standard ROM out of the box) and it worked for me:

download and rename vjbrisk.exe to calendar.exe
create a link to SBSHCalendar.exe and rename it calendarLNK.lnk
put both files in /windows directory

This is interesting stuff!! We will try to see how things are done to see if this is something we can offer as a built-in feature of upcoming updates too! :)

Of course what it doesn't do however is take me to the same diary date or calendar entry as what is on the TouchFlo 3D home screen that I tapped on - so if the last time I looked at CT was say agenda view for yesterday (or tasks or whatever...) then that's where I will end up again, and this takes getting some used to. Ultimately this is where we need to get to for true CT integration with TouchFlo.

I'm really not sure if this is something we will be able to do since in order to implement something like this we must receive some parameters from TouchFlo that will give us a bit more details about the currently selected item and so forth.. Unfortunately since there isn't any official API published for TouchFlo or anything like this, implementing something that will actually be able to identify the current selection/displayed item within TouchFlo is probably impossible to implement -b2-

Hopefully with upcoming updates of TouchFlo they might provide some more official way of doing this, which will allow us to easily implement what you suggest too :)

I am not a programmer so this may be stupid question so I apologise in advance...If VJBrisk is able to insert itself and launch in preference to the standard calendar, then I assume TF3D is also passing parameters to it when the executable is called. Thus could we not work with the developer of VJBrisk to see if we can trap any parameters being passed and reverse engineer how TF3D invokes the calendar?
