I've been racking my brain ( and my Device) trying to figure out how to keep the tab fonts displayed but to erase the tab outlines. I heard that this is possible. Problem is that I dont know how. Can you help?

Unfortunately this is not yet possible with the current latest release. The people who make skins that LOOK like the tab lines are hidden, have just found ways to make the colors 'blend' with the background image (Today theme) so they're just creating an illusion. wink.gif

One workaround I've found is to put iLauncher at almost the very top or bottom of the screen. Just close enough to the edge that my tab buttons are still pressable by a very precise stylus tap, but also still making the tab lines nearly invisible. Then I erase the tab name so that only the lines show (I use 0% opacity tabs) and I use Wisbar Advance Desktop and SKSchema.
I'll create a shortcut in WAD to a macro from SKSchema. The Macro is a simple screen tap to click on the very edge of the screen (where the iLauncher tab buttons are, although they're almost impossible to see at the edge of the scren, esp if melded in with my wallpaper)

This way I can make my own large buttons to press with a finger to switch iLauncher tabs. And if I make those buttons right beside iLauncher it looks like they're actual tab buttons.
Only drawback is the 1-second delay between hitting the button and the macro taking effect, but it works out for me. One second isn't too bad.

P.S. note that you could also use purely iLauncher and Mortscript/SKSchema -- just add a shortcut inside the tab leading to your macro.

Well, I don't use WAD and the macro thing you were discribing is beyond me. So I'll just have to use photoshop to create todayscreens that mask those annoying tab lines. Additionally, what the heck is up with the ninja emoticons( ph34r.gif ph34r.gif ph34r.gif ?) Is there some big hush, hush app about to come out that you guys cant specifically mention? Cuz I'm lost.....
ortizlgndLEGENDARY
Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems as tho the only things that can be reskinned in PB, PW and Ilauncher are the icons. Is that right? I mean, I can reskin WA2, rltoday and psshutxp to change the look of the app. But with PB, PW and Ilauncher, it seems as tho those apps only allow for custom icons since none of them actually have backgrounds. They're basically just icons, right?

No, we're just being silly. It really means that the next version of iLauncher will have to ability to not draw the lines in between tabs. The beta testers know about this, but don't want to spill the beans, hence the ph34r.gif ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

In iLauncher, in addition to the icons themselves, you can skin the graphics for the common elements (such as scroll arrows, settings button, horizontal meter, etc.), plus you can set font styles and sizes for tabs and captions, plus color and alpha (transparency) for nearly everything. Check out the 'Colors' section of iLauncher options to get an idea of what kinds of things are possible.

I've looked @ the Colors feature and turned the tab opacity to 0 but I was too afraid to start changing things while not knowing exactly would happen and not be able to restore everything as it should be. Yeah, Im a big chicken, but I've just had to hard reset and restore all of my files so many times, i'm not to eager to risk having to do so again. btw: are there discounts for those who already have Ilauncher and who want to get the newest version when it comes out?

You can always export your settings and mess around with things. If you don't like how it turns out and want to revert, just load those settings again.

For those that weren't using the iLauncher closed beta and wondering about all the ph34r.gif ph34r.gif ph34r.gif , check out iLauncher 3.0.05 for the ability to turn off the tab borders. smile.gif

Ragart--I hope you're still around. I uninstalled skschema and ever since, each time my axim x51v powers up, I get a minimum of four notification windows that tell me "windows/skschm.exe not found." I tried cleaning the registry of an ref to that filename, but that made zero difference. Usually, I can just delete them with four taps, but lately it's been a bigger pain because the notification windows have frozen the PDA. What do I need to erase or unerase to get rid of these things? I have been considering reinstalling the program, or going up onto the manufacturer's Web site, but I can't find either. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ragart

Sorry sfrrr,

very late reply, haha. I've actually stopped using skschema since and didn't have your problem when uninstalling.

Maybe there's something left in your startup folder? Or maybe you can download a demo of memorymaid and have it clean your system?

But you've very likely solved the problem by now, hahaha.
